"Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy." - Robert Tew
As we continue upon our paths into 2013, take a moment and reflect on your experience thus far. How are you spending your time? Are your activities honoring what you want to create in your life? Reflect on any resolutions you may have made; are they helping you to grow in a way that serves you?
It's easy to get caught up in the chaos of life. In a world full of technology where we are constantly checking email, social media, and staring at a screen, sometimes what we are doing is actually draining us rather than bringing us alive. Are you drained of energy, or focused on stories that may not be serving your mental, spiritual and emotional health in the best way?
If you find yourself chained to a blackberry for work, or addicted to your email and social media, take a moment to turn the screen off, step away and give yourself 3 minutes of relaxed breathing. Check in with yourself and take a few inner moments. How could you better use your time to reflect the vision you are wanting to create?
We often stare at our iPhones, iPads, iPods, all the meanwhile missing out on our eye contact. Don't forget to connect with those people in your life who support you. Be mindful of your needs and consider if what you are focused on brings your dream alive or distracts you from it.
How do you keep alive your vision for creating the life you want to live? Please comment below and share your story.
In the beginning of a new year, clients tell me that they clean house. They clean out their closets, homes, and cars to begin the year with a fresh start. One thing we often forget is to clean out our inner house. What is the old baggage you hold onto? What causes you stress that needs to be unloaded? For the purposes of this blog, I'm speaking about the energetic waste that we carry with us. Some of you might think I'm speaking about doing a vegetable and fruit fast, also a good idea. However, this is about psychic inner trash.
Just like you take out your garbage twice a week, it's important to empty your psychic trash for your overall health. Inquire within at least twice a week to stay clear. Consider what you hold in your mind and body. This doesn't need to be a heavy process of going deep into your past. Start small by asking yourself what are you carrying from today or this week that you need to let go. What's on your mind? Who upset you? When you lie down to go to bed at night, what is keeping you up still rolling around in your head? You have the power at the end of the day to empty your inner trash and create peace in you mind.
Here are some steps to help you get started:
The start of a new year brings with it the infamous "New Year's Resolutions." Many of us resolve to change the habitual way we live our lives, and decide our promise for the next 365 days. Making change is not an easy thing to do, and often when we set resolutions, we wind up beating ourselves up the moment we fall behind or break our personal promises.
It's important to know that in order to make change, we must focus on what we are wanting and take the steps we need to create it. Knowing what we want is the first step! Back up that desire with action, even the smallest action in that direction, and the seeds of change will begin to sprout.
When we really want something, and are committed to making change, we have to refine it down to the first step. For me, the next step is to speak it out loud, enroll universal support, and then leap into the creative unknown. We must get behind our choices with all our energy, and get excited about manifesting what we want. Then we can create the broader goal in our life by spending some time each day tending to our vision. Commit to stay present with the resolution and show up for it until the change is complete.
When creating change we need to ask, "What do I really want?" When we really want something and our energy is behind it, we manifest it. We simply have to be clear about what we want. There's a lot to be said for putting things in order and making lists. However, our action steps toward our goals are equally important.
Ask yourself these three things:
Take your first step by responding to this blog and put out into the Universe what it is you want to create in 2013! May your vision find it's way to initiation, and to launch into fulfillment in the new year!
I wish you peace, love, and healing in 2013!
