This morning I had the Blessing of attending a gentle yoga class in my neighborhood. It was a small class of seven women who ventured out to a beautiful space in the woods to open their body, be with their breath, and connect inside. For me, part of the Blessing was that the facilitator, Natalie, framed our class by honoring the weekend theme of "freedom & independence."
Reflecting on freedom I remember times when life's challenges of stress, illness, pain, loss, or family unrest kept me feeling limited, bound, heavy, and unable to sense my independence. Over time I learned that liberation was closer than I thought. My heart always leads me to truth, so in perfect Caron fashion I turn inward to inquire...to listen. What will help me feel free alongside the strains in my current life? A resounding answer came from deep within me..."notice all the ways you are free...and look for freedom to show itself everywhere you look." Posture after posture I experienced liberty in my breath, opening in my body, and a true sense of independence in my heart.
My prayer is even if your life is heavy right now, you look for the freedom in your heart so you may embody it in your life. Always find ways to celebrate your independence and your freedom to be you! It's a gift we all need to see!
Sending prayers of liberation to all those who are living lives of slavery, persecution and oppression...we are lifting you up, envisioning your freedom and fighting for your causes.
God Bless those who fight for causes of freedom, honor, liberty and independence for all.
Blessings of love, light, and peace!
