Last week I heard a multitude of comments about the meaning of September. For some, it's back to school and long lines at Staples. Others were frantically cooking and preparing for an unusually early Jewish New Year. A good deal of people told me they loved the beginning of September because they get to watch the US Tennis Open, track the end of the baseball season, and many were drinking in the last days of Summer, their favorite season. The varieties of human experience always create a sense of wonder within me.
What are you aware of as you move into September? For many who are suffering with pain the change of the month isn't noticeable. Perhaps the experience of your symptoms increase and you're not sure why, you simply don't feel great. Is it allergies, temperature changes, is there an increase in stress with new demands on your body, or something else? For me, consciously connecting with my inner experience, (whatever that may be) allows me to be fully present to what I need. With that awareness, I am able to understand what will support me as I shift into a new day or a new month.
Take a moment to be present with your inner experience as September unfolds. See if your presence creates more understanding of what will support you as you shift into your day.
Let me know how it is for you!
Blessings of peace and healing,
