![]() The start of a new year brings with it the infamous "New Year's Resolutions." Many of us resolve to change the habitual way we live our lives, and decide our promise for the next 365 days. Making change is not an easy thing to do, and often when we set resolutions, we wind up beating ourselves up the moment we fall behind or break our personal promises. It's important to know that in order to make change, we must focus on what we are wanting and take the steps we need to create it. Knowing what we want is the first step! Back up that desire with action, even the smallest action in that direction, and the seeds of change will begin to sprout. When we really want something, and are committed to making change, we have to refine it down to the first step. For me, the next step is to speak it out loud, enroll universal support, and then leap into the creative unknown. We must get behind our choices with all our energy, and get excited about manifesting what we want. Then we can create the broader goal in our life by spending some time each day tending to our vision. Commit to stay present with the resolution and show up for it until the change is complete. When creating change we need to ask, "What do I really want?" When we really want something and our energy is behind it, we manifest it. We simply have to be clear about what we want. There's a lot to be said for putting things in order and making lists. However, our action steps toward our goals are equally important. Ask yourself these three things:
